Job title: Insight Assistant (Reporting)

Hours: Variable up to 15 hours a week

Pay: £13.64 per hour

Location: Cavendish (with potential to work at other central campuses and from home)

Contract: September 2025- August 2026

Closing date: 1st July 2025

Job purpose:

To support the Strategic Insight Coordinator in collating and reporting on student-focussed research projects, such as Spill the Beans, to ensure the Union meets the needs of its members.

Key responsibilities:

  • Gathering data from various reports to create reports on specific themes e.g. Food on campus
  • Ensuring reporting is clear and accessible to both staff and students
  • Interpreting data, drawing conclusions and spotting opportunities for further investigation
  • Sharing the opportunities derived from our insights internally within the Students’ Union
  • Supporting teams within the Students’ Union with insight work where needed
  • Working with the Strategic Insight Coordinator and Communications team to communicate where action has been taken as a result of student feedback

About the role:

We are recruiting an Insight Assistant (Reporting) to work at Westminster Students’ Union. You will be mainly based on one campus (Cavendish), with the option of some remote working once you are settled into the role. There may also be a need to work across the other campuses at times, for example to undertake training or work on a project.

You will not be expected to work evenings, weekends, or University holidays, apart from occasional early evening work if we are conducting research after the usual office hours.
