JOB PURPOSE

  • Join our dynamic team at The Hideaway and lead the way! We're seeking a motivated and experienced Team Leader to oversee our Starbucks franchise operations, bar service, and event management.   • As a Hideaway Team Leader, you will be responsible for the smooth daily operation of the venue, encompassing our Starbucks franchise, bar service, and the successful execution of events. You will ensure exceptional customer service, adherence to all compliance standards, and lead and motivate a team of Venue Assistants
  • Moreover, you will play a pivotal role in contributing to the student experience and fostering a strong sense of community within the space, creating an inviting atmosphere where everyone feels welcome and engaged. Your leadership will help cultivate relationships among students, staff, and visitors.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leadership & Team Management: Supervise daily shifts, providing guidance and support to Venue Assistants. Delegate tasks, monitor performance, and foster a positive and collaborative team environment. Proactively address and resolve any team conflicts.
  • Operations Management (Starbucks & Bar): Oversee the efficient operation of The Hideaway's Starbucks franchise and bar service, ensuring seamless daily operations and exceptional customer service. Manage deliveries, conduct stock checks, process stock, and minimize waste. Handle cash-ups, weekly banking, and other financial procedures accurately. Maintained bar stock and ensured responsible alcohol service.
  • Event Management: Plan, coordinate, and execute events at The Hideaway. This includes liaising with clients, setting up the venue, managing staff during events, and ensuring smooth event operations.
  • Safety & Compliance: Lead the team in emergencies (e.g., fire evacuations), ensuring the safety of all patrons and staff. Complete incident and accident reports accurately and promptly. Ensure adherence to all relevant licensing and regulatory requirements, particularly concerning alcohol service.
  • Communication & Reporting: Act as the main point of contact for Venue Assistants during shifts. Communicate effectively with team members, management, and other stakeholders.

  1. Proven experience in a hospitality or similar environment, ideally with experience in barista, bar service and event management.
  2. Experience in a leadership role or similar

  2. Demonstrated ability to manage daily operations, including handling deliveries, stock management, cash handling, and venue logistics.
  3. Experience planning and executing events, including client communication and staff management.
  4. Strong knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices and relevant licensing regulations.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
